JT's First Steps and First Haircut!

JT is walking now...he's all over the place, and it'll be any day now that he just takes off and runs! He started taking his first steps right before his 1st birthday, and he hasn't slowed down one bit. Here's a video of his first steps from October 15th...I can't believe I got it on video!

Believe it or not, we had to take JT to get his first haircut before his first birthday. He was starting to grow a tail on each side of his neck in the back, and his sideburns were starting to grow over his ears. So, we made an appointment with his cousin, Greta, on October 18th, and it was a family affair! She did a great job with him, and he actually sat pretty still and didn't cry.

Our little 1-year-old had his 12-month check-up on November 1st, and he weighed 24 lbs. 10 oz. and measured 31 inches in length/height. He really is getting so big! Praise God for a healthy boy :-)

Trunk N Treat and Halloween 2011

Since we were in the hospital last year with a 2-day old, this was JT's real 1st Halloween. He was an MSU Bulldog...of course! He had a lot of fun Sunday night, October 30th, at our church's annual Trunk N Treat. Of course, Mommy and Daddy were busy working the event since I was in charge of it, so Nana and Papa brought him and walked him around. I did take a minute or two to get a picture with him!

We had a the biggest crowd ever at Trunk N Treat this year...I actually had to make an emergency run to Dollar General to get more candy...a buggy FULL! And it was just enough to last through the rest of the night. Phew!

JT had a lot of fun Halloween night helping us hand out candy, and he really enjoyed "people watching." He got to see lots of people in costumes, and surprisingly, he laughed at all the scary ones!

JT's 1st Birthday Party!

Hello???? Where have I been??? I realize it's been more than two months now since my last post...wow! I'm terrible at this blogging thing. So much has happened since my last post on September 18th, so I have a LOT of catching up to do. Instead of trying to fit two month's worth of blogging in one post, I'll do a few/several.

First on the list...JT IS ONE!!! We had a BIG time celebrating his birthday on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Country Pumpkins in Caledonia, and we are so grateful for all of our friends and family who were a part of it!
